Scott founded Alpine Executive Insights to bring senior, hands-on financial and strategic counsel to growing companies — the kind of work he has performed inside operating businesses and on behalf of institutional investors over the past decade.
His career began in public accounting as an audit associate, working across public and private companies, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profits. From there, he moved into fractional accounting at a Colorado-based firm serving small businesses across construction, retail, services, and the non-profit sector — handling everything from bookkeeping and reconciliations through controller-level functions for eight concurrent clients. That foundation in the mechanics of how small companies actually run shapes how Alpine engages with clients today.
His operating experience spans the full lifecycle: building finance and operations from the ground up at venture-backed startups, leading multi-entity consolidation and ERP implementation at a national consumer brand, and overseeing finance and accounting across a portfolio of healthcare companies inside private capital. That combination of perspectives — having sat in the operator seat and the investor seat — informs how he engages with every client.
Scott earned his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, graduating with high honors. He lives in Park City with his wife, Sarah.
